Dear ENSATS Community,

The course selection process for next school year is now underway! Please see the timelines for the entire process below.

 

Instructor Recommendations:  February 24 – March 3, 2020: 

Academic instructors shared information about next school year’s course offerings with their students beginning after the February break and have recommended students for course levels for next school year for core content classes.

 

Student Course Selection (Guidance Lessons):  March 4-17, 2020: 

Guidance Counselors will visit classes to support students with making informed decisions about selecting next year’s courses as it relates to their career pathway and anticipated post-secondary plans.   The schedule is as follows:

Grade 9 (YOG 2023):  March 11-17, 2020 (lessons in Science Classes)

Grade 10 (YOG 2022): March 4-10, 2020 (lessons in Science Classes)

Grade 11 (YOG 2021): March 11-17, 2020 (lessons in History Classes)

 

Parent/Guardian Course Approval Forms

Students will bring home “Course Selection Approval Forms” for parental review, feedback and approval according to the following schedule:

*March 11, 2020:  Grade 10  (due back to the Guidance Suite by Friday, March 22, 2020)

*March 23, 2020: Grade 9 and Grade 11  (due back to the Freshman or Guidance Suite by Friday, March 27, 2020)

 

In preparation for reviewing Course Approval Forms, please talk with your child about their course interests as it relates to their career pathway and talk about their instructors’ recommendations. For additional information about course offerings and course levels, visit EssexNorthShore.org/academics. Parents/Guardians are also very much encouraged to consult with their child’s instructors during this phase for additional information about course offerings and course level recommendations.
