Angell at Essex

Angell Animal Medical Center has partnered with Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School (Essex Tech) in Danvers, Massachusetts to create Angell at Essex, a not-for-profit veterinary clinic dedicated to providing quality veterinary care to the general public, including deeply discounted services for qualified low-income families. The new clinic opened its doors in December 2019.

Additionally, Angell at Essex serves as a rigorous academic training program for students enrolled in the Veterinary Science program at Essex Tech. The Veterinary Science program provides clinical training available through the on-site veterinary clinic overseen by Angell clinicians. About 160 students are a part of the veterinary science program at Essex Tech. They assist at the clinic by cutting pets’ nails and brushing their fur, and are taught other skills they need to become a veterinary assistant.
