SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. We provide educational programs, events, and competitions that support career and technical education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms. SkillsUSA’s mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training.

Major events on our calendar include:
Fall State Leadership Conference

FSLC is designed for Chapter Advisors and Chapter Officers, to build strong chapters back at their schools. Participants at the conference participate in intensive leadership training in areas such as communication skills, group dynamics and employability skills, while having opportunities to become involved in the SkillsUSA Professional Development Program (PDP), earn a SkillsUSA Massachusetts Leader Award, and learn more about SkillsUSA’s various programs.

District Leadership & Skills Conference

SkillsUSA Massachusetts hosts six District Conferences to determine the competitors for the State Leadership & Skills Conference. The District Competition consists of a written SkillsUSA Employment Skills test and a written trade knowledge test.  First and second place finishers in each contest move on to compete at the State Conference

State Leadership & Skills Conference

The Massachusetts SkillsUSA Championships is the annual showcase for students enrolled in vocational, technical and health education. In addition to the student and teacher participants, business and industry play a great role in promoting the fundamental principles of vocational education. State officer elections are also held.

National Leadership & Skills Conference

Champions from all over the US come to the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY to compete in the SkillsUSA Championships, a week-long event featuring competitions, national officer elections, and business and industry partners and sponsors.
