Application Process

All students applying for admission to Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School must complete the Admission Application and adhere to our Admissions Policy (see below). NOTE: “Non-resident” students applying for admission to the seven animal science, agricultural, and natural resource programs are NOT required to complete a Chapter 74 Non-Resident Tuition application in addition to their admission application (See: Specialized Agricultural and Natural Resources Programs Nonresident Student Enrollment Advisory, MA DESE below).

 

Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School admits students from our 17 member communities to our career technical, animal science, and agricultural programs. Member communities include Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex, Gloucester, Hamilton, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Peabody, Rockport, Salem, Swampscott, Topsfield, and Wenham.  Students from across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are also eligible to apply for admission to Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School’s animal science, agricultural, and natural resource programs (See: Specialized Agricultural and Natural Resources Programs Nonresident Student Enrollment Advisory, MA DESE below).

Open House

This year’s Open House will be held virtually and can be viewed at any time. All information about Open House can be found here.

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no in-person tours available at our school this year.

Important Admissions Dates:

Applications Open for New Grade 9 Applicants October 26, 2020
Applications Due (Class of 2025/Grade 9) January 8, 2021
First Round of Acceptance Notifications for Class of 2025/Grade 9 Mailed April 16-21, 2021 (anticipated)
Transfer Applications Due (Class of 2024, 2023, 2022) April 16, 2021
Transfer Acceptance Notifications (Class of 2024, 2023, 2022)
Please note: In addition to Admission Policy standards,  acceptance to Grades 10-12 is limited to availability in CTE programs.
August 6, 2021 (anticipated)

 

Steps For Applying: 

  • Parent/Student: Please complete an admissions application The electronic application for Fall 2021 admissions will be available after October 26, 2020. You may download a paper application below. Complete pages 1, 2, 3, and then sign page 4 of the application;
  • Your child’s Guidance Counselor will forward application documents directly to Essex North Shore for processing:
    • Grades for the current school year (through Trimester/Semester 1) and previous school year;
    • Attendance records for the current school year (from September through January) and previous school year;
    • Discipline/Conduct records for the current school year (from September through January) and previous school year;
    • Guidance Recommendation Rating on the application.

No application will be processed if all required documents are not included with the application on or before the Second Friday in January* (1/8/2021).
