Dear ENSATS Community,

As you may be aware, recently retired Danvers Chief of Police, Patrick Ambrose passed away unexpectedly last weekend.  We would like to express our sincerest sympathies to the Ambrose Family and his extended Danvers Police Department Family. Chief Ambrose’s commitment to the safety of Danvers and by extension, the entire Essex Tech Community will never be forgotten.

Services are being held for Chief Ambrose tomorrow, Thursday, January 21, 2021. Danvers Police Department is expecting a significant traffic impact during our school dismissal time on Route 62 at the intersection of Poplar Street and Maple Street. Poplar Street will be closed from approximately 2:00-3:30 pm between the Peterson O’Donnell Funeral Home and Locust Street. Additional road closures will be in place at the intersections of Maple Street and N. Putnam Street and Maple Street at Beaver Park between approximately 2:45-3:15 pm. 

If the bus your child rides normally passes through these intersections we have made arrangements to reroute the bus.  Due to anticipated traffic, please expect student drop-off delays. If you regularly travel this route to pick up your child, please plan accordingly to avoid this area.
