MCAS

Here is some important information for Grade 10 ELA MCAS

  • Grade 10 students will watch a short informational video about MCAS on Monday, March 27th in their first block classes.
  • Testing will take place on Tuesday, March 28 and Wednesday, March 29th.
  • Grade 10 students will arrive at 7:45 am on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • It is important that students attend school and arrive on time for testing.
  • Breakfast will be served in the main cafeteria before testing.
  • Snacks will be provided during testing.
  • Testing locations and an instructional presentation will be emailed to students on Monday, March 27th.

Late Buses for Juniors and Seniors during MCAS

Late bus sign-ups have closed and students will be notified of their pickup time on Monday, March 27th.

Please note: Buses will follow the regular bus schedule for Grades 9 and 10.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

We are asking again that you please follow our drop-off and pick-up guidelines. All drop-offs and pick-ups must be done in the back of the building by the gymnasium. Parents are still pulling into other lots that are designated for staff to drop their students off, and with extra cars in the staff lots, our teachers cannot park. We have also had several complaints about parents parking in the Angell at Essex lot to pick up students at dismissal. This is a very small lot, and the spaces are for Angell at Essex customers. We have received complaints that customers with pets are not able to park and get to their appointments on time. We are able to get almost 1700 people off campus in about 15 minutes at the end of the day…which is remarkable. But in order to have students arrive and leave safely, we ask again for you to work with us and please follow these guidelines.

Kindness Week – Toy Drive

Kindness Week is coming soon and one of our students, Abby Ward, is planning a toy drive. Please click here for more information.

Our Automotive Technology and Collision students partnered with Second Chance Cars to fix a vehicle to be donated to a person who was recently released from incarceration. They both did a great job and the recipient was extremely grateful.
