We are excited to announce an all new and unique Sounds of Essex Tech Integration Academy for students interested in a fun-filled, hands-on creative performance project involving rhythm, movement, and sound that will take place beginning on Thursday, January 5, 2023 and continue to Thursday, February 16, 2023!
The goal of this Sounds of Essex Tech Integration Academy is to provide students with a performing arts project that involves a dance, sounds, videotaping, and editing that will culminate in a Wang Theater performance and a video of the sounds that will be shared with the Essex Tech learning community. An Essex Tech teacher will work with a EXYO performance artist from Express Yourself [EXYO], a performance arts group, located at the Cummings Center in Beverly.

Students will work on this project at ENSATS in February, March, and the first week of April and then at Express Yourself (EXYO) in Beverly for the end of April and the first two weeks of May. On days when students will be working at EXYO, we will provide van transportation from Essex Tech to Beverly and back in time to take the 5:45 pm late bus from Essex Tech.
Every Wednesday, bus transportation from school to home will be available to students as long as they remember to sign up every Wednesday morning for the 5:45 pm Late Bus. In addition, there will be an Exhibition in May for parents and caregivers to see the final Sounds of Essex Tech video in the Library/Media Center at Essex Tech.
Participating students need to attend ALL sessions of the Sounds of Essex Tech Integration Academy. Please note that snow days will be added to the schedule if necessary, should there be snow disruptions.
We will also provide food and drink for students for all after-school sessions.
