Safety Event

Last week, we had a former student gain access to our building during the school day.  Fortunately, with the help of observant staff members and security footage,  Administration and Security staff were alerted promptly and the individual was removed from the building.  This is an example of our safety training and practices at work.

Hawk Holiday Hope

We have begun our annual school-wide community service learning project: Hawk Holiday Hope where students, staff, parents, and other groups involved with the school purchase holiday gifts to children in need through the Department of Children and Families in Salem.  This is a great opportunity to showcase our Hawk Family Pride! Customizable Sweatshirts

We now have customizable hoodies for sale through the school store.  They have your shop name on the back and can be personalized with a name on the sleeve.  While hoodies cannot be worn in CTE areas, these will be perfect for academic week or outside of school.  They will be ready in time for winter break.

Masks on Buses

As a reminder, it is a state mandate that all students and staff must wear masks while on school buses.  We have had several students over the past week who have boarded buses without a mask.  While the drivers typically have extra masks, they are running through the supplies quickly and often run out.  It is essential that your child arrives at the bus stop with a mask.  Students that do not have masks will not be allowed to board the buses.  We appreciate your cooperation with this mandate.

MCAS Retests in English Language Arts

This coming week, we have a small number of juniors and seniors who will be taking the MCAS English Language Arts Retest on November 16th and 17th for juniors and an additional day of testing for seniors on November 18th.  We will be testing students across the street in Smith Hall and will provide students with breakfast, a snack, and if necessary, lunch.
