Virtual Parent Night – Save the Date
Our Back-to-School Night will be virtual this year! We are planning to have a Virtual Parent Night on Thursday, October 29th at 6:00 pm. This will give caregivers the opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and learn about class expectations. We will provide more details regarding the schedule, timing, and meeting links as we get closer to the event.
Athletics & Activities
Soccer, Cross Country, Golf, and Field Hockey are underway. Student activities are also beginning to ramp up. Beginning next week we will include information about Student Activities in the weekly messages. We are also working on a slide presentation in lieu of our usual Student Activities Fair. This will be shared in our weekly memo in a few weeks.
Grade 9 Exploratory Information
On Wednesday, October 14th, School Counselors will meet with freshman students to begin the Exploratory selection and scheduling process. Caregivers will receive an email on Wednesday, October 14th that includes their child’s CTE program selections and a request for parents to approve (or modify) these selections. Timely review and receipt of the Exploratory Selection form is necessary to ensure student schedules are ready the following week. We request caregivers review this form on Wednesday evening with their child, make any necessary changes in the form and SUBMIT the form Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning.

*REMINDER about Required Information
All families should have received an email with a SNAP code and a link to our Required Information Form. This form will allow you to complete all required documents and signoffs online using one form. The online form will include:
- Student Biographical Information
- Family/Emergency Information
- Medical Information
- Directory Information
- Student Handbook
- Technology Responsible Use Policy
We ask that each family complete the Required Information Form by Tomorrow, Friday, October 9, 2020. Families of new students should complete this form even though you have recently completed admissions paperwork to ensure that we have all the necessary information and sign-offs.
Hats, Hoods, and IDs
In order to improve safety and security in our building, hats and hoods are not permitted. Students should promptly remove their hat or hood when they enter the building. In addition, student IDs should be worn and visible at all times while in the school building, unless a student is working with equipment and the ID will pose a safety hazard.
Student Arrival
In order to prevent traffic congestion at the Main Entrance in the morning, the buses will make a loop around the building with multiple stops. We ask that students get off the bus at the location closest to their first-block class. By spreading out the entrance points for students we can better maintain social distance.
Sincerely,
Heidi T. Riccio, Ed.D., Superintendent-Director
