Dear ENSATS Community,
Are your closets overflowing??? Here’s your excuse to clean out and get organized in the new year!!! Project Fashion Forward is a new initiative at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, and we are looking for gently-used clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, purses, evening bags, textiles, and fabrics. Other acceptable items include sheets, towels, curtains, tablecloths, bedspreads, comforters, and clothing in adult and child sizes. Unfortunately, we will NOT be accepting any other household goods.
Project Fashion Forward will be hosting a fashion show in the spring. We will use donated items to create one-of-a-kind fashion to send down the runway. More information will be forthcoming about this exciting event, which will include refreshments, a photo booth, a jewelry sale, and a raffle table.
Proceeds from the fashion show along with your donated items will help us create Hawks Hanger, an in-school boutique where students can shop free of charge, for clothing, formal events, job interviews, DECA, SkillsUSA, and FFA events and competitions. Prom dresses, shoes, and accessories will also be available. We want all students to be able to participate in and feel comfortable at school events, regardless of their ability to purchase the required clothing.
Any excess items that are not used for the fashion show or Hawks Hanger will be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England that “aims to improve the lives of individuals and families impacted by epilepsy and seizures and to offer those with epilepsy help for today, and hope for tomorrow.”
We appreciate your support and welcome your donations. There will be a donation bin in the main lobby of Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, and donations can be left Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
As this initiative evolves, we will be seeking volunteers to sort donations and staff the Hawks Hanger. We truly hope that this will be a long-lasting project that will involve the entire Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School community in some way. Thank you for your support as we start this exciting project.
Thank you,
The Fashion Forward Team:
