Superintendent End-of-Year Report

The School Committee approved the End-of-Year Report for the Superintendent. This included evidence toward SMARTIE goals and the work completed by all stakeholders. As you can see, we accomplished great things this year!  As Chris McGrath (Heidi’s coach) would say, “take a bow.” Thank you for the work done to make sure our students received an excellent agricultural, technical, and academic education! Here is the link: EOY Report and SMARTIE Goals.

Hats and Masks

Just one final reminder that students should not be wearing hats in the building.  In addition, all students must have masks on (over their mouth and nose) while in school buildings and on buses.  Students do not have to wear masks when outside.

Technology Returns

Any family that is borrowing a Chromebook or iPad through the school’s borrow program, must return the device and charger to the Technology office before Friday, June 18th, 2021 for the summer break. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Cheerleading Tryouts

Cheerleading tryouts will be held on June 14th, 15th, and 16th  from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the Essex Tech Gym.  All athletes must register online and have an updated (within the last 13 months) physical online.  Head Coach: Melissa McCular – [email protected]

Summer Strength and Conditioning

The Summer Strength and Conditioning Program is back in person and will run from Monday, June 28th through Tuesday, August 17th. Sessions will be held on MondayTuesday, and Thursday each week. We will run either one or two sessions per day depending on the number of participants. If you are interested in getting in shape for fall, register now. The registration fee for the summer is $100.00.  Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch can also apply for a waiver.  For directions to register for sports: click here.

Feminine Products Drive

One of our seniors has asked to run a drive to collect feminine hygiene products.  She reports that these products are the least donated to shelters and that many students miss school because they don’t have them. Her mission is to lessen the burden and to help create an equal environment for women who are unable to obtain them.  If you would like to help support this initiative, products can be dropped off at the Main Office until next Thursday, June 17th.
