Hockey Playoff Information & Essex Sports Center Parking Updates

Parking Information

Dear Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School and St. John’s Prep Communities:

As many of you know, Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School and St. John’s Prep both host home hockey competitions at the Essex Sports Center rink. Essex Sports Center has recently notified us that parking rules will be strictly enforced moving forward and that attendees will no longer be allowed to park alongside Manning Road or in the Essex County Sheriff’s lot for overflow parking. Middleton Police and Fire will have a detail in the Essex Sports parking lot during the upcoming playoff hockey games to ensure that the parking lot and building occupancy does not exceed allowed limits. Guests that park illegally may be ticketed or towed.

We understand that these restrictions will likely result in insufficient parking at Essex Sports Center for those who wish to attend upcoming playoff games. In order to support attendance, Essex North Shore and St. John’s Prep will offer overflow parking and shuttles from overflow lots to Essex Sports Center during home games for each school. Please review the following information carefully:

Essex North Shore Overflow Lots

Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School will allow fans to park in the Manning Ave Bus Parking Lot and F lot for Essex North Shore and SJP home playoff games. Please see this map for each lot’s location.
Shuttles will run from both lots to the Essex Sports Center rink continuously starting 1 hour before the game and ending 30 minutes after each game’s conclusion. Shuttles will circle lots to pick up and drop off fans.
No tailgating is allowed in Essex Tech lots and absolutely no alcohol is allowed at any time. Fans should park in legal spots and refrain from littering or disruptive behavior.
Police details will be present in the overflow lots and surrounding areas to ensure that these rules are followed.

St. John’s Prep Overflow Lots

St. John’s Prep overflow lots will be available for fans at the 21 Spring Street lot and Memorial Gym lot for St. John’s Prep home playoff games in the event that Essex North Shore overflow lots reach capacity. We ask that fans try to park at Essex North Shore first and park at St. John’s only if Essex North Shore reaches capacity. Please see this map for each lot’s location.

We remind all attendees, both parents and students, to please be positive when cheering on our Eagles and Hawks, and also respect the opposing team’s players, coaches, and spectators. St. John’s is appreciative of the generosity of Essex North Shore to allow use of their lots during the upcoming playoff hockey games. Prep fans are reminded that they are guests at Essex North Shore while utilizing their lots and should act accordingly. Thanks for your support and cooperation. Ticket Infomation

Hawks & Rams Fans,

Essex Tech has been using GoFan for electronic ticketing for all of our home hockey games for Boys Varsity Hockey this year. GoFan is a partner of the MIAA which will be used for the Division 3 Tournament: Round of 32 Matchup this Thursday, March 2, with a 6:40 puck drop. There will be NO CASH exchanged, and no ticket to throw away or drop on the ground. Your cell phone is your ticket!
