Thank you for your patience at dismissal

Thank you for bearing with us over the first few weeks of school.  Our new students have become familiar with our dismissal process, busloads have been balanced thanks to our transportation department, and our stoplight has been adjusted to allow for a longer green light at dismissal time.  As a result, we have been able to get through dismissal more efficiently.  We appreciate your patience.

Important Reminders about Dress Code

We have had several students out of dress code recently.  Per the Student Handbook:

  • Tops must have shoulder straps sufficient to hold a shirt in place.
  • Clothing must cover areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, down to approximately mid-thigh.

We have also noticed 9th graders that are not dressed appropriately for the CTE Exploratory weeks.  We ask that 9th graders and Caregivers review the Dress for Success document that was provided in orientation folders to see the expectations for dress in CTE areas.  Students who are not dressed appropriately will be asked to change and may receive disciplinary consequences.

Masks

Given the recent guidance from Commissioner of Education, Jeff Riley, we will continue our mask requirement while indoors and on buses until at least November 1st.  Students and staff must wear masks over their mouths and noses.

Save the date:  Parent Night

We are planning to have a Virtual Parent Night on Thursday, October 14th at 6:00 pm.  This will give caregivers the opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and learn about class expectations. We will provide more detail regarding the schedule and access to these virtual meetings in the near future.

Topsfield Fair Scavenger Hunt

The Class of 2024 is driving a scavenger hunt for anyone who attends the Topsfield Fair from October 1 until October 11.  All you need to do is take photographs of yourself enjoying the events at the fair listed here: What to hunt.  Different pictures hold different values, and some can be used more than once, so read carefully!  Then simply post your photos to this form Hawks of 24 Topsfield Fair Scavenger Hunt as well as the EssexNorthShore Instagram Page.  Top point earners will win fabulous prizes!
