Dental Assisting

The Dental Assisting students are exposed to oral health care and services through practice in our state-of-the-art dental assisting lab, as well as clinical experiences at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and at dental offices and clinics on the North Shore. Students are prepared to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification exams in Infection Control, Radiology, and Safety, and Anatomy, Morphology, and Physiology. Students who successfully complete a minimum of 936 hours of coursework; including 200 hours of clinical training, and are awarded their high school diploma can apply to the Massachusetts Board of Dentistry for licensure as a dental assistant.
